Terms & Conditions

The following terms and conditions form the contract between you, the client, and Blue Horse Removals LTD. They outline your rights, responsibilities, and those of the service provider. By using Blue Horse Removals’ services, you confirm that you understand and agree to these terms. These terms do not cover insurance contracts.

Your Moving Quote

Our quote does not include customs fees, taxes, or state charges. We try to give you a fixed price, but we may change it if:

  • You accept it after 60 days.
  • Your delay causes the move to be pushed beyond 3 months.
  • Costs increase due to taxes, fuel, currency changes, or freight charges beyond our control.
  • We need to collect/deliver above the second floor.
  • You request additional services (like storing or moving extra items).
  • There are unexpected delays beyond our control.
  • Access is difficult due to narrow stairs, tight doorways, or unsuitable parking.
  • We have to pay parking or other service fees.
  • There are customs inspections or demurrage charges.
  • The final packed volume is higher or lower than initially surveyed (our quote is based on estimated volume).
Extra Tasks We Don’t Automatically Include

Unless we agree in writing, we won’t:

  • Take apart or build flat-pack furniture.
  • Disconnect or reconnect appliances or fittings.
  • Move carpets or flooring.
  • Move storage heaters unless already taken apart.
  • Move any items listed under Section 5 (Excluded Items).

If our team helps with any of this without written permission, we can’t be held responsible for any damage.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • Making sure nothing is accidentally taken or left behind.
  • Getting any required paperwork or permits.
  • Being present or assigning someone to be present at both ends of the move.
  • Preparing appliances safely for transport.
  • Arranging parking and paying any related fees or penalties.
  • Making sure new property keys are ready before 3 PM.
  • A waiting charge of £50 to £100 will apply after 1 hour, if keys are late.
  • In case the destination is locked, after 4:30 PM, we may return the vehicle to our depot and re-deliver on another day with extra charges for storage and rebooking.
Ownership of Goods

By signing this agreement, you confirm:

  • You own the items being moved or
  • You have permission from the owner to move them.
If this is not true, you agree to cover any legal costs or damages caused by a third-party claim.

We may dispose of any prohibited items without notice. Special arrangements must be made for pets.

Cancellations

If you cancel or reschedule:

  • More than 14 days before: No charge.
  • Within 14 days: 10% of the quoted price.

You may purchase insurance as an optional add-on. Without it, we are not liable for:

  • Fire or damage in storage.
  • Pest infestation or natural wear and tear.
  • Food spoilage or damage to fragile items.
  • Electronic failures not caused by visible impact.

If you cause a delay and we can’t deliver, your items may go into storage, and extra charges will apply.

We are not responsible for accidental damage to the property unless it’s due to proven negligence.
In such cases, our maximum liability is £200 unless additional Property Damage Insurance is purchased.
